Ihr Repertoire enthielt zahlreiche Hauptbesetzungen in Inszenierungen klassischer und zeitgenössischer Choreografen: Waclaw Orlikowskij, Heinz Spoerli, Peter Schaufuss, Hans Van Manen, Sir Frederic Ashton, Gerlinde Dill, Linda Papworth, Darrel Toulon, Doug Elkins, Ralph Lemon, Dinna Bjorn, László Seregi, Pavel Šmok, Richard Wherlock, Jörg Mannes, Rami Be`er. (u.a.: Schwanensee, Dornröschen, Les Sylphides, Le Sacre du Printemps, Spartakus, La belle Vie, Romeo und Julia, Nußknacker, Sylvia, 5 Tangos, Napoli, La Fille mal gardée, Naked City, Carmina Burana, Giselle, Gershwin Songs, Tagebuch, Copland, An American in Paris, Sweatbox, Verklärte Nacht).


Seit 1994 zusätzlich im Unterricht

In dieser Funktion auch regelmäßig Leiterin und Choreografin von Schulaufführungen. Choreografin von Kindermusicals für „Next Liberty“ (Robin Hood, Oliver Twist).

Studium in London

2001-2002 Studium und erfolgreicher Abschluss mit Lehrdiplom (ARAD RTS Dipl. PDTD) an der Royal Academy of Dance® in London.

Seit 2002

Ballettlehrerin nach den Richtlinien der RAD für die Ausbildungsstufen "Graded Examinations", "Vocational graded Examinations", sowie Fortgeschrittene und Meisterklasse.
Sie ist - neben dem persönlichen Unterricht - verantwortlich für Planung und Gestaltung der Ballettausbildung, Organisation der Prüfungen nach dem Lehrplan der RAD und Erstellung des künstlerischen Konzeptes und der Choreografie für die Aufführungen und Veranstaltungen Ihrer Fachschule für Ballett und Tanz.

Seit 2003

Seit 2003 Dozententin der, von der Royal Academy of Dance® London organisierten, Italian Summer School Fondo.

Ekaterina Christou was born in Newcastle N.S.W Australia. From a young age she began her Ballet training with a renowned ballet teacher Miss Tessa Maunder, a life time member of the Royal Academy of Dance. Ekaterina trained for 12 years, with all the syllabus The Royal Academy of Dance. As a full time student she also had the privilege to study with many other distinguished teachers. Ekaterina graduated with distinction in all Examinations.

In 1987 Ekaterina moved to Graz, Austria where she danced as a Principal Dancer with the Graz Ballet Company in Austria for 14 years and worked with many Choreographers such as Waclaw Orlikovski, Heinz Spoerli, Hans van Manen, Peter Schaufuss, Nicholas Johnson, Mark Kay, Tony Rizzi, Sir Frederic Ashton, Dinna Bjorn, Laszlo Seregi, Gerlinde Dill, Rami Be`er, Linda Papworth, Richard Wherlock, Pavel Smok, Jörg Mannes, Doug Elkins, Ralph Lemon, and Darrel Toulon . She performed in the most renowned Classical Ballets such as Romeo and Juliet, La Belle Vie, La Sylphide, Les Sylphide, Sylvia, Napoli, 5 Tangos, Love Songs, Gershwin Songs, Le Sacre Du Printemps, Spartacus, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, The Nutcracker, La Fille Mal Gardee, Pas de Quatre, and Swan Lake.

In 2001 Ekaterina retired from dancing. She then lived in London and studied at The Royal Academy of Dance London to gain her teaching Diploma.

Ekaterina Christou is now since 2002 accredited with Associate the Royal Academy of Dance, Registered teacher status, Professional Dancers Teaching Diploma (Distinction) the Royal Academy of Dance London.
In 2003 after her teachers training Ekaterina became principal of the Fachschule für Ballett und tanz and artistic director of The Austrian Youth Ballet in Graz, Austria.

Ekaterina now resides in Graz, Austria and continues to teach all levels from Pre-Primary up to solo seal level. She has also choreographed for many dance festivals and competitions Nationally and Internationally.
Over the years Ekaterina has been invited by The Royal Academy of Dance London as a guest teacher to the Luxembourg Easter School, Italy Summer School Fondo, and Internationally Tokyo Summer School Japan.

Nata in Australia, Ekaterina inizia il suo percorso al Tessa Maunder Dance Centre. Dopo aver completato il syllabus RAD, diventa un membro del Graz Opera Ballet in Austria dal 1987 al 2002, ballando in molti ruoli principali, oltre a coreografare musicals per bambini, incluso Robin Hood e Oliver Twist, sempre per l’ Opera House di Graz. Nel 2003 apre in Austria la propria scuola di danza per l’avviamento professionale.
